Travel | Portland, Oregon

Hello All,

I just got back from Portland, Oregon last weekend (April 23-24, 2015). This was a trip that I was super excited about. I’ve never been to Portland, so I was nervous about what to expect. Everyone is Portland was very very nice and it was so different from being in Los Angeles, CA. Even though I was only there for one day (this was a side trip to our actual trip to Seattle, WA; more about that later) we ate a lot and got a bit of shopping done. I am hoping to visit Portland, Oregon again later this year. *crosses fingers*

My favorite part about Portland, Oregon is that it’s one of the few TAX-FREE states in the US. This meant that whatever price I saw was the price that I was going to pay. This was amazing. I had some Victoria Secret coupons to use up, so I bought my lingerie there. And I also splurged on a designer bag. I’ve been wanting it for awhile now, but the price was just too much to justify. Having no tax added to the already high price finally tipped me over. I’m so excited to use it!

Please watch the video below to see a small bit of my trip out to Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. Part 2 will be up soon.

XOXO, Vivian

#22 – Reflection

Hello All,

Haven’t posted in a long long long time. I’m so bad at this. But I will try to change that.

During the 22nd year of my life, I’ve learned so much about myself. There were lots of ups but at the same time, lots of downs as well. I’ve learned that I shouldn’t have to tolerate anything that does not positively influence my life. I’ve learned to let things and people go that were just dragging me down and holding me back from being 100% happy. Now, I feel that I am in a much better place. Life is short, so make the most of it. Be positive, and do everything that you want to do that makes you happy.

After my 23rd birthday, I’ve decided to spend my hard-earned money on experiences rather than items. Yes, buying new shoes and new bags makes me happy, but experiences will last me a lifetime. So from now on, I am going to do my best to spend less on items and more on adventures. So far, planning to go on at least two vacations in 2015, going to see Wicked, running my first half marathon and hopefully many more adventures. I really can’t wait to see what the next year will bring to me. I’ll try my best to document it via this blog.

Until next time,
Vivian
